Allow to dry fully before topcoating hours if needed. We always recommend testing the Scumble tint over a sample piece, and if more tint is desired simply add more of your paint or colorant. For best results, if intending to Scumble over a very porous surface like unsealed paints and plaster , seal that original surface with Clear Topcoat Sealer or with a thin layer of the plain Scumble medium. Dries to a durable water resistant finish on a wide range of surfaces. Stir thoroughly. Brush the coloured Scumble over the base coat. Create the desired decorative effect by breaking the surface with a crumpled rag, bag, sponge or a Polyvine tool or brush.

When the glaze is completely dry, seal with a coat of Polyvine Extra Pale Varnish. Low temperature, poor ventilation and high film thickness will cause delayed final drying.

Avoid applying in cold damp conditions as this will also delay final drying. Scumble is prone to fading when exposed to strong sunlight for long periods. Scumble will turn dark if starved of light eg behind pictures etc. Keep tin tightly closed. Protect from extremes of temperature during storage and application. Keep out of reach of children.
